A note from the President...
Tucked between the North Dallas Tollway to the west, University Park to the south and east, and Preston Hollow to the north is a rich mixture of restaurants, health care services, shops, personal services, and financial service businesses that make our busy urban life so much more convenient, enjoyable and civilized than mega malls and strip centers. There are several independently owned businesses with loyal and dedicated customers that have been in Preston Center for many years. Places that make doing business more like living in a small town than the Metroplex surrounding us. The only thing our center was missing was greater visibility from the surrounding neighborhoods. Too many residents are unaware of all the wonderful assets our center contains. |

I started this association at the beginning of the year as a way to assist my customersand the merchants in our neighborhood to continue to thrive in the face of this economic downturn. By organizing, sharing ideas, and marketing our unique shopping area, we can be a stronger district. Many neighborhood leaders such as Kyle Crews,Annamari Lannon, Bill Cohen, Serena Cole, Tommy Payne, Linda Crawford, James Neel, and Irene Mylan have been wonderful in their support and work in getting this association off the ground. I also have to thank David Cook, an attorney and partner with Stanley & Cook, PLLC for establishing our association as an entity. Forming this association has shown me what amazing neighbors we have in Preston Center.
Whether you are a resident, visitor, or work in Preston Center, we invite you to browse and discover a new dimension to our area that you never noticed with wonderful opportunities to shop and dine locally. If you are a merchant or service provider within the center, please join our association and help us grow into a voice that can make our Preston Center an even more enjoyable place to visit. There will be more events, unity, and networking opportunities to strengthen us.
Contact me to find out where we will meet next and how to join. We need your commitment, resources, and your ideas. In the first edition of our newsletter we will look back on Preston Center‘s history and feature a few of the Center’s current businesses that continue to make Preston Center a vibrant district to shop, work, live, and play! |
